The summer transfer window has officially opened and now that the World Cup has come and gone, clubs are working away on major deals.

For most clubs, planning will already be complete and they will have identified which players they want to sign, and which players they want to sell.

Fresh off the back of their record signing Morgan Rogers joining the club, Chelsea reportedly made a €75 million offer for Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott.

However, the Cherries rejected the bid, despite speculation that the midfielder is unwilling to extend his contract beyond 2028.

The reports will be seen as good news in North London, with Arsenal reportedly joining the list of clubs looking to sign the Premier League talent.

However, it remains to be seen whether the English champions will be able to improve on Chelsea's rejected offer.

Elsewhere, Ipswich Town have reportedly struck a deal to improve their attacking line-up for the forthcoming season.

Reports indicate that they have agreed a fee with Celtic to sign Japan international Daizen Maeda.
